A CATALOGUE OF THE CURIOUS COLLECTION BOOKS, Chiefly relating to MEDALS and ANTIQUITIES; OF Dr. JAMES DAVIS, Late of the DEVIZES, Deceased; Which (by Order of the Executor) Will be fold by AUCTION, By Mr. LANGFORD and Son, At their House in the Great Piazza, Covent Garden, On Wednesday Evening, the 23d of this Instant January 1771. The said Books may be viewed on Monday the 21st of this Instant January, and till the Time of Sale, which will begin punctually at Six o’Clock. CATALOGUES of which may be had gratis on the Days of Viewing at Mr. LANGFORD’S aforesaid.

Conditions of Sale. / 1st, THAT the highest Bidder, is to be the Buyer ; and if any Dispute arise between two or more Bidders, the Book or Books to be put up again and re-fold. / 2d, That no Books (notwithstanding they may prove imperfect) after being taken away, shall be returned and accepted as such. / 3d, That no Person advance less than 6d. under a Pound, above a Pound 15. and so on in Proportion, / 4th, That each Buyer pay Five Shillings in the Pound, in Part of Payment for each Lot, if demanded, and also give in his Name and Place of Abode. / Lastly, That the Books are to be taken away at the Buyer’s Expence, within two Days at farthest, after the Sale is ended, and the Purchase-Money paid on or before the Delivery ; in Failure of which, the Five Shillings in the Pound deposited in Part of Payment, shall be forfeited, the Books re-fold, and the Deficiency (if any) shall be made good by the Defaulters at this present Sale.|F I N I S.[after N@100]
